This is a rotor / generator for a 1985 Yamaha XJ700X "Maxim X". The Maxim X was only made for one year, and included such features as water cooling, shaft drive, and the Genesis motor (5 valve). Many Maxim X chassis parts will fit a standard Maxim- you can visit www yamaha - motor com or send us an email or call us for part compatibility questions. The rotor is in excellent shape with no cracked or broken magnet portions. This is the component that sits opposite the stator, to generate electrical power for the bike. It should work excellently once reinstalled on a motorcycle. These were removed from a motorcycle that we have disassembled and placed online for sale. It was not running when we recieved it, and many parts are missing. If you need any other parts, click hereto search for them! We also have many Maxim parts in stock!
