The Regulator Rectifier is the part that turns the 40-60 Volts AC that is created by your generator and rectifies it to the DC current used by the bikes electrical system. The Regulator portion makes sure that enough current is being sent to the electro magnet to generate a constant voltage between 12.5 and 14.5 Volts DC. If you are having charging problems this is one of the parts you need to check.
