This is a coil that was removed from a 1969 Yamaha AT1 125 cc dual-purpose motorcycle. As far as we know this is NOT an original coil for this motorcycle, it looks more like a vintage performance coil for a car. This is more of a collectors item or a vintage oddity then something that would be used on another motorcycle- although it would be 'period' for use on a restored-modified ATI. It is an oil-filled coil, on the lower side is printed Diamond, LB-89 12v OIL FILLED COIL JAPAN. The coil has not been tested.

This part was removed from a 1969 Yamaha AT1 that was disassembled at a salvage yard, labeled, bagged, and put into a storage crate. In general these parts are in the condition they were in when the bike was disassembled. There may be rust or corrosion on parts, we will try to show you where there is more then surface damage but these parts are sold as-is. Items with maintenance parts such as seals, gaskets, and o-rings should be inspected and possibly rebuilt / repaired before being mounted on a bike.
