This is a rear brake pedal / lever for a 1981 Yamaha XT500H dual-purpose motorcycle. This pedal is in good condition, it has a patina of surface rust covering it entirely, but little to no pitting and no through-and-through rusting. The pedal surface looks to have been bent at some time in the past, there is enough space still to hit it with your toe but it is shaped oddly now, see photographs for details. The mounting splines however are in excellent condition, and this is a 100% great usable part or spare for your XT500! Yamha part number 583-27211-01-00 This part or part is from a 1981 Yamaha XT-500H motorcycle that was disassembled at a salvage yard and placed into a crate for many years. Generally, parts have less rust and damage on them then other comparable-year items for this reason, but we will try and show rust and other damage on parts in photographs and in the description. Parts with maintainable components such as bearings, seals, and gaskets should be inspected prior to installation as they may need to be cleaned and / or rebuilt.
