This is an igniter / ignition unit / CDI unit / black box / ignitor / computer / ignition spark box /spark unit for a ; Honda VT750C / VT 750C / VT 750 C Shadow 1983 VT700C / VT 700C / VT 700 C Shadow 1984-1985 This one is one of two boxes used to run the engine, the tach, and the fuel pump relay. This box fits all three years , the other box is specific year by year. Email if you have any questions. This is the electronic � brain � or computer that runs the ignition- it is what takes information from the pickups and causes the spark plugs to fire at the right time. If you are having ignition system problems with your bike, you may need a new one of these. This ignitor was working when we removed it from a motorcycle and as far as we can tell it should work great once put back on a bike. This is a great spare or replacement part to keep around for this bike, they are VERY hard to find and you never know when you might need one!
